Ladies' B recap

Ashton Crone

The Women’s B-League Championship was a matchup between Southern Breeze, the long time intramural franchise of Southern, and Reinhart, the emerging force to be reckoned with. The game displayed more defense than scoring in the first half. The score stayed within three points by halftime. The two teams battled until the finish with outstanding performances by Calle Turk, the high scorer for Southern Breeze, and Jenna DeVries, the high scorer for Reinhart. The game was tight down the final stretch with teams going back and forth exchanging fouls and making baskets to eventually result in a one point victory for Southern Breeze winning 15 to 14. Both teams brought their A game. It was just a matter of who was ahead when the time ran out.
