Reaction from a Rams fan

Rhidge Garcia

It wasn’t until 2016 that I started to grow an interest in football. It was at that time that the Rams claimed Los Angeles as their home. Before then, I was a neutral fan of the NFL. But with the arrival of the Rams, I considered myself a fan of them. So when I heard that the Rams made it to the Super Bowl this year, I was thrilled. I was finally able to cheer for my home team at this year’s Super Bowl.

When I was watching the game, a sense of ownership overwhelmed me. Sadly, the team that I claimed to be “mine” tasted bitter defeat to the Patriots. Did this defeat feel personal? Yes. I felt the same way when the Lakers lost against the Celtic in the 2008 NBA Finals. Will I be a bandwagoner? Of course not. If anything, I am more loyal and connected to the LA Rams. Let’s get it.
