Dress to impress

Fashion is a powerful form of nonverbal communication. It can give insight into a guy’s character because how one looks on the outside can give an impression to what’s happening on the inside.

Dressing up is like a puzzle. While some pieces can loosely connect, it’s easy to detach them. The best part is when all the pieces fit comfortably together. That’s when you get the look you really want.

For example, a t-shirt and a pair of jeans can go a long way. But a duo-toned hoodie and some slim-fitted Levi’s goes even further.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not advocating that everyone has to have a high sense of fashion to be approachable. The Bible tell us that looks are not everything. 1 Samuel 16:7 says, “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” The most important thing one can have is a heart that seeks God because nothing is more beautiful than that.

I ask that above all else, make yourself consecrated in God’s love to beautify the inside so that it can eventually reveal itself on the outside.
