A playlist for every mood

Natalie Boonstra

1. Studying— Peaceful Piano – Spotify

This is my favorite classical music playlist to put on when I’m doing homework, especially if I have a big test to study for. Studying is the most productive when your mind is clear from distractions. This playlist will definitely help you focus. Classical music is also proven to help relieve stress and release dopamine, which is the chemical that is released when you’re happy.

2. Worship— Authentic///Worship – Jordan Finn

True to the title, this in an authentic worship experience. Listening to music from artists like Elevation Worship and Hillsong is one of my favorite ways to start my day in the presence of Jesus. Music from this playlist always helps me listen to God’s voice–whether it’s on the car ride to church or a Sabbath afternoon hike.

3. Mornings— Morning Acoustic – Spotify

The acoustic sounds of this playlist have the perfect vibe for a relaxed Sunday morning or any morning you have some extra time to enjoy getting ready for the day. Most days in college are fast paced, so slow down a little bit, and do something for yourself like make a cup of tea or read your favorite book.

4. Car Rides— Disney – kawaiitrina

Car rides with friends are always more fun when you can turn on feel-good music like these Disney classics. Get a blast from the past with songs like “Mulan’s” “I’ll Make a Man Out of You,” as well as more recent favorites from “Moana” and “Frozen.”

5. Sleep— Nature Noise – Spotify

Drown out the sounds of stomping feet and slamming doors in the dorm with “soothing sounds of nature.” After a long day, go to your happy place. You can imagine yourself deep in the forest or on the sandy shores of the coast.
